What Are Body Worn Cameras?

A Body Worn Camera is a small video and audio recorder worn and a police officer's chest or as a headset. It is turned on to record video and audio of law enforcement encounters with the public, often saved with time and date stamps. This all day footage is maintained by the police agencies or third party vendors.
